English Day

On August 26th, students, teachers, and Peace Corps volunteers came together to celebrate English Day with fun and interactive activities that highlighted the importance of learning the language. The event began with an opening ceremony where students gave welcoming speeches and presented short performances about different countries, showing how English connects people from all over the world. Afterwards, Peace Corps volunteers led several activities where they shared their culture through engaging games, trivia, and dancing, while also encouraging students to use English with confidence.

Overall, English Day at El Rosario School was a wonderful opportunity for students to practice the language, build confidence, and enjoy learning in a fun and meaningful way.

Meanwhile, our English Day at Volcán was an explosion of creativity and learning. From an exciting role play and a challenging spelling bee, to energetic dances, iconic characters, heartfelt songs, and captivating storytelling, every activity came alive with the power of language. It was an unforgettable day!

In addition, the celebrations at La Pradera, Canocas, Río Arriba, and Mirabal promoted language immersion and educational collaboration. More than just an event, English Day became a platform for teachers of all subjects to come together in an interdisciplinary effort to highlight the global importance of English. By involving the entire school community, the celebration sent a powerful message about the role of English as a tool for communication and access to knowledge, motivating students to value and learn the language in a more enjoyable and meaningful way. This joint participation not only strengthened bonds among staff but also enriched the learning experience for everyone.
